Tesla undertakes a world first in Melbourne with over 600 FSD test drives
1+ week, 5+ day ago (406+ words) Popped past the Tesla stall again towards the end of Saturday to check how they were going on their target of 600 tests and they were pretty happy with progress. Will drop in again tomorrow to check again. " Richard Laxton (@rlaxton) November 15, 2025 This milestone was shared by the organizers of the show. Tesla had dozens of FSD-equipped EVs at the show available for hundreds of attendees experiencing the software for the very first time. Have you experienced the future yet? " One of those experiencing this was Lloyd C, who shared on X: "Just tried out full self driving today on a test drive out of Footscray. Mind blown! What do you reckon is the best way to buy a Tesla? I'm thinking of doing a novated lease?. In September this year, Tesla announced the FSD supervised software to all eligible cars in…...
Tesla finally shares Supercharger availability data with Google Maps: But what took so long?
2+ week, 3+ day ago (584+ words) In a welcome update, Google Maps now shows the live availability of Tesla Superchargers. Long after Evie Networks, Exploren, Chargefox, BP Pulse, Ampol, and others started making live data available to mapping platforms, Tesla has finally taken the necessary steps to integrate this crucial data with the world's most popular mapping and navigation platform. It's a very welcome step, not least because Google Maps as implemented in the Polestar and Volvo Android Automotive systems remains the best EV navigation tool that I've used by quite some margin. I'm always disappointed that it has not been made available through the mobile app to cover over some of the inadequacies of built-in mapping platforms…...
